These certifications demonstrate Tek’s pursuit of excellence in process, resources and quality management, performance tracking and use of tools, all controlled via Tek’s online OneWorld Globalization Platform, powered by SAP.
MADRID, Spain – November 25, 2009 - Tek Translation International, a worldwide provider of localization solutions, has been awarded the upgraded ISO quality certification to comply with the new 2008 version of the ISO 9001 standard. At the same time Tek has received recertification of the EN 15038:2006 European Quality Certification for "Translation Services — Service Requirements".
This certification is of particular significance since it confirms that all processes managed via our new online OneWorld Platform comply with ISO quality standards. All projects are managed via this Collaborative Project Management system, and all Tek’s departments and personnel worldwide are linked online to this localization business management system, powered by SAP. The platform has dramatically enhanced Tek’s process control and increased the availability of business intelligence from receipt of a new project through to billing.
This ISO certification of quality standards controlled via OneWorld further paves the way for Tek’s mission: To run an on-demand globalization platform to enable the world to drive their global strategies, processes and operations to meet their business goals. Our vision is to create a highly sustainable and environmentally friendly localization business model for the future, where companies can manage their language business online from any location and obtain the business intelligence they need to achieve success without the need for so many administration centers and so much air travel.
Already Tek has reduced its carbon footprint and energy levels by replacing two offices with business development, project and quality management and solutions development teams.
Through this re-certification, Tek has proven again its full commitment to high quality management standards with a set of rigorous processes covering every aspect of the company. Awarded by the International Organization for Standardization, ISO 9001:2008 certifies achievement of customer satisfaction and applicable regulatory requirements, ensuring that Tek´s processes are ISO compliant as well as ISO documented. The EN 15038:2006 certification goes further, reinforcing quality control and best practices within a specific and core part of the overall localization process: the translation.
The ISO and EN certificates are renewable every three years, making this most recent certification valid until 2012. In addition, Tek’s commitment to quality is further demonstrated by an official yearly audit carried out by the independent entity NQA (National Quality Assurance), as well as internal audits every six months.
Using a strict monitoring policy for external resources, Tek implements comprehensive resource identification, qualification and approval processes. For performance tracking, Tek develop rigorous QA guidelines and checklists which are applied to all projects in order to confirm that quality objectives have been achieved throughout the process.
